What is “The Undergrowth”?
My Roles: Art director, lead artist, and UI designer on a team of three people.

The Undergrowth is short Metroidvania, inspired by Hollow Knight, for Karina Popp’s Intermediate Game Dev class.
You are Ako, a shy but determined boy beginning his journey to return to a home he left long ago.
But things have changed since he’s last been there. Corruption has spread through the land, and strange magical creatures are making his old home a dangerous place. Use your magic to battle your way through, and meet characters both old and new, on your way back to the Undergrowth.
